ACT Participants Showcase Their Talent

October 24, 2025

On Friday, October 24th, the Adult Counseling and Therapy (ACT) program held its 2nd Annual Talent Show. Participants showed off their talents by performing for peers, staff, and family. It was a fantastic lineup of talented individuals putting on a spectacular performance. The lineup included poetry, singing, and dancing, along with a late entry showcasing their artistic talents.

Ms. Theresa, the ACT Human Services Counselor, served as the emcee for the production. She worked closely with the performers, helping them shine by providing patience, practice, and encouragement.

Judges for the competition included Jay Montague, Director, Adult Counseling and Therapy Program; Amy Miller, ACT Insurance Specialist; Shawn Gibson, Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer; and George Richards, President/Chief Financial Officer. Although all participants delivered outstanding performances, the judges faced the challenging task of selecting only three winners to receive trophies.

First place was awarded to Will and Peggy, who performed the classic duet “The Closer I Get to You” by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway. CiCi secured second place with an energetic dance performance of “Suavemente” by Elvis Crespo, while third place was claimed by Darlene, who delivered a heartfelt rendition of “Through the Years” by Kenny Rogers.

Every performer received a Wawa gift card as a token of appreciation for their participation.
