August 14, 2026

On Monday, August 10th, Archway Programs held its Opening Ceremony for the 2026 Archway Summer Olympics. Athletes from Archway Upper School, Lower School, Archway Early Learning, and Cooper’s Poynt are participating in this year’s games. Once again, the teams designed their logos and chose their team colors, which were proudly displayed.

Mr. John, the Lower School Principal, and Mr. Mark, the Upper School Principal, addressed the students and staff, concluding with a commitment to uphold the rules of the games. The competition has officially begun! Good luck to all our athletes!

Upper School students proceeded with their games immediately following the ceremony. The first day’s events included Relay Races, Sprints, and Shot Put. Despite the heat, everyone performed exceptionally well and demonstrated great effort!

Upper School and Cooper’s Poynt students’ day two events included Bocce Ball, Pickleball, Home Run Derby, Free Throws, Golf, and Ladder Ball. Participants showcased their skills in their chosen sport and cheered on their teammates as they advanced through each event. It was a fun day filled with friendly competition, where everyone had a moment to shine.

At the same time, across campus, Lower School and Cooper’s Poynt students showed off their skills on day one of their games! Students participated in various events, including Archery, Fly High Jump, Target Shot, Hobby Horse Obstacle Course, Around the World Basketball, and some fun non-medal events like Madagascar Villain Freeze Dance. It was an exciting day filled with both indoor and outdoor activities, and everyone did a fantastic job competing and cheering each other on!

On August 13th, Upper School students wrapped up their final day of the 2026 Archway Summer Olympic events with championship games in bocce ball, pickleball, and ladder ball. They concluded the day by heading outside to enjoy an exciting obstacle course and water slide! A fantastic selection of music accompanied the festivities, thanks to Upper School Music Therapist Ms. Julie, who was present throughout all the events, providing great tunes and taking requests!
