Two Just Kids Programs Temporarily Close Due to COVID-19 Exposures

January 11, 2021

The Just Kids Sharp and Zane North programs are temporarily closed due to a person who tested positive for the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) at both locations. Just Kids is coordinating closely with the school district and county health department and is following CDC, state, and county health department guidance in order to assure the health and safety of our community. Just Kids has also been in direct contact with the Principals from both schools, as well as the school nurses who have conducted a contact tracing process. Just Kids has communicated with parents of students who are considered to have been in close contact (within 6 feet of distance for 15 minutes over a 24 hour period). A list of all the impacted students has been shared with each specific elementary school staff.

All exposed areas have been cleaned and disinfected according to established protocols by the Just Kids Program. We will continue to work with the school district to take necessary precautions to prevent the introduction and spread of viruses and other germs. In addition, we are temporarily closing the Just Kids Zane North Program and the Just Kids Sharp Program for the quarantine periods listed below. The Just Kids Zane North Program will re-open on Wednesday, January 20th, 2021. The Just Kids Sharp Program will re-open on Tuesday, January 19th, 2021.

Just Kids is specifically asking you to complete a quarantine period, based on the CDC and NJ Department of Health. Those students considered as close contacts must quarantine at home for 14 days from the day of last exposure. If your student is symptomatic or receives a positive COVID-19 test result during this period of time, please contact your school nurse in addition to Just Kids.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Lorin Powell, Director of Just Kids, by phone at 856.768.8190 or by email at lorin.powell@archwayprograms.org.
