Today is Read Across America Day. While this year may look different, Archway Schools were still able to make it happen and celebrate #ReadAcrossAmerica! Typically, staff throughout various programs at Archway would volunteer to visit our schools and read to each of our classrooms. Due to COVID-19, this was not an option.
This year, our related services team put a spin on the Archway tradition and read a favorite Dr. Seuss book, Oh the Thinks You Can Think.
Our #ArchwayFamily is sending a big virtual hug to all of our students, teachers, faculty and parents who are celebrating near and far! We are all looking forward to being back in the classroom with you next year.
Until then, keep reading! Reading is an important life skill and we hope you will join Archway in celebrating. This year, we are excited to share that the National Education Association (NEA) will be celebrating all year AND focusing on diversity and inclusion. The theme for this month is cultivating compassion. Thank you to the NEA’s Read Across America for emphasizing inclusive stories to uplift and positively influence kids across the country!
