There is No “I” in “Team”

October 27, 2020

Team building is essential for youth as it gives them the tools to further develop their coping, social and communication skills to use with their peers, siblings, parents and teachers. Partial Care staff and youth from our HOPE and DISCOVER programs participated in a friendly competition and team building exercise. This particular team building exercise was designed to encourage our staff and youth to work together as a team in order to achieve a common goal.

Archway staff from the various groups at program were given the same materials and the same amount of time with the same rules. Instructions were to create a pumpkin using some aspect of every piece of material given. The kids were the judges, and they didn’t know which staff members created the different pumpkins. It wasn’t easy to pick a winner with so many talented creations. After much consideration, the judges agreed on a winner.

Drum roll, please….

Congratulations to Ms. Elise, Mr. Tim and Ms. Natalie for winning the pumpkin painting and a Chick-fil-A party not for just them, but their kiddos too!

The HOPE and DISCOVER partial care youth programs are both located on Archway’s Washington Township location, serving children ages 5-12 (HOPE) and adolescents ages 12-18 (DISCOVER). Both programs empower youth to gain control over their behaviors by developing their individual strengths, developing coping and social skills to function effectively at home, school and in the community.
